Peter and Iansung
Weddings | Cabo San Lucas, MX
I grew up in Southern California so I have an inherent love for the beach. Given this affinity, it’s a surprise I’ve never been to or performed at a beach wedding. For this particular event, I traveled to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.
The wedding was absolutely stunning, as the guests and vendors celebrated one of love in its highest forms whilst looking on the beautiful blue ocean waves. Those who were vacationing and staying at the resort watched in full support as Peter and Iansung declared their vows over one another.
Peter used to be a cellist so the music he chose for his wedding was filled with oldies-but-goodies, classics, and even some renditions of popular pop music. I also had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with local musicians from the area for this wedding! Though it was a bit difficult trying to communicate with them due to the language barrier, we somehow got through the day by using hand gestures, my 3 years of Spanish class from high school, and of course the music itself.
Just like a ship setting down its anchor to buoy itself through the storm, I hope and pray that Peter and Ian’s love for each other will ground one another throughout the chaos of life.

H.O.T. | Hope
This is a cover of a 90’s K-pop song featuring a sample of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy - a fun combination that closed off the ceremony with a bang!
Aladdin | A Whole New World
A string and piano-only arrangement of an old Disney classic! The cello was the highlight here as it carried most of the melody throughout the song. Typically the melody is carried by voice but hearing it on the rich, deep, and warm tone of the cello was refreshing and enlightening.
Ed Sheeran | Perfect
A rendition of Ed Sheeran’s pop hit arranged for piano and strings. The piano arrangement was rife with full chords to round out the sound of the piece.
Calum Scott | Biblical
The infamously talented Calum Scott’s song arranged for piano only! The right-hand carried the melody while the left-hand played chords to fill out the harmony and structure.
